**This game does not exist yet. Only the slot is standing.**

## Why build a slot for a game that does not exist

The reason is on the studio page; in one line here:

> **Fit a studio around one game and the day a second arrives, all of it has to be rebuilt.**

And at that point **every address changes, and the links people made from outside die with them.**

**Adding it later is expensive; leaving an empty slot now is free.**

## So what is written in the slot right now

**Not game content.** What is here is only **"what has to exist before this slot can be called filled."**

In other words, **acceptance conditions.**

| Part | The condition for this slot |
|---|---|
| **Design** | **Can the way you win be written in two sentences** |
| **Spec** | Do the rules **fit one screen**, and is **what is undecided written down** |
| **Art** | **Has it been decided what will *not* be made** |
| **Verification** | Can you say **in one sentence what a pass means** |

## Where those conditions came from

**All of them were paid for on the wuxia game.**

The most common mistake when starting a new game is **"I'll do better this time."** And then **the same mistake happens in the same place.** At the moment it matters, you cannot remember what you learned.

So **what was learned is written in advance as acceptance conditions for the next game.**

> **Write a lesson as a story and it goes unread. Write it as a condition and it has to be passed, so it gets read.**

## And what has to be re-decided is written too

Each part carries **two kinds of entry.**

| Kind | Nature |
|---|---|
| **Travels** | A rule that **holds when the game changes** |
| **Has to be re-decided** | A question whose **answer differs per game** |

Separating them matters. **Without the split, last game's answers get carried over** and pinned onto the new game. **And they will not fit, while feeling comfortable because they are familiar.**

## The detailed record starts here

**This game does not exist.** Only the slot does.

Why the empty slots got built is on the [MOON Studio](/en/built/moon-studio/index.md) page — shape a studio around one game and the day a second one arrives, all of it gets rebuilt.

Even empty, **the parts are already standing.** What each one records isn't "what will be built" but **"what has to exist before this slot counts as filled."**

| Part | What this slot requires |
|---|---|
| [Design](/en/built/moon-studio/future-1/design/index.md) | Can the way you win be written in two sentences |
| [Spec](/en/built/moon-studio/future-1/spec/index.md) | Do the rules fit one screen, and is the undecided part written down |
| [Art](/en/built/moon-studio/future-1/art/index.md) | Has it been decided what *won't* be made |
| [QA](/en/built/moon-studio/future-1/qa/index.md) | Can you say in one sentence what a pass means |

**There is no Client part**, and its absence is correct. The wuxia game has one because it has code; a client part attaches *after* code exists, whereas the four above are what has to exist *before* it. That's the order.

The parts under [Future game 2](/en/built/moon-studio/future-2/index.md) say the same thing. **There are two slots to show "several," not because the two differ.** They diverge the moment a game is chosen.
